1. Who we are and what this policy covers

BuildMinute™ is a mobile application and service operated by BADLEA Projects LLC. This policy applies to the BuildMinute™ mobile application, BuildMinute™ account services, and the portions of BuildMinute.com that link to this page.

2. Information we handle

Account and authentication information

When you create or use an account, BuildMinute™ may process your email address, optional display name, unique user ID, authentication provider, account number, referral code, authentication events, subscription or entitlement status, and referral or reward information.

Supabase provides authentication and backend account services. Its operational and authentication logs may include an IP address, device or browser information, user agent, provider, event type, and event time. BuildMinute™ does not receive or store your plaintext password.

If you use an enabled third-party sign-in provider, such as Google, that provider supplies the account information needed to authenticate you, such as an account identifier, email address, and name. The provider also handles information under its own privacy terms.

Construction content stored on your device

The following information is ordinarily stored locally: project names, project numbers, addresses and custom fields; typed or edited report sections; drafts; photos and videos; generated PDFs; work dates and times; saved weather summaries; and your personal correction dictionary.

BuildMinute™ does not upload this ordinary construction content to its Supabase database. The limited exceptions are the optional AI dictation and weather workflows described below.

Files you save to a camera roll, export, or share through email, messaging, cloud storage, or another application are controlled by your device and the destination you select. Those user-initiated transfers are governed by the destination service’s privacy practices.

Camera, photos, videos, and microphone

BuildMinute™ may request permission to use the camera, record audio, access media you select, save new media to your device, and add approved project or location information to timestamps. You can deny or revoke these permissions in device settings, although the related features may stop working.

3. Online features and measurement

AI-assisted dictation

AI-assisted dictation is optional. When you use it, BuildMinute™ sends the selected audio, an internal note identifier, and recording duration to a Supabase Edge Function. The audio is forwarded to OpenAI for speech-to-text transcription. The transcript, report-section name, and internal note identifier may then be sent to OpenAI for light cleanup. The returned text is saved with the report on your device.

BuildMinute™ does not intentionally write the audio recording, transcript, or cleaned report text to its Supabase database. BuildMinute™ does record the limited usage metrics described below. OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models by default. Its current data controls list no content retention for the audio-transcription endpoint used by BuildMinute™, while text-cleanup inputs and outputs may be retained for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring unless a different eligible control applies or longer retention is legally required.

You can avoid AI processing by typing your report notes instead.

Location and weather

Location use is optional and occurs only after you grant permission. BuildMinute™ may use approved foreground location to save a project weather location, add GPS coordinates to enabled photo or video timestamps, identify a nearby public weather station, and retrieve observations for the selected work date and times.

• Coordinates are sent through a BuildMinute™ Supabase Edge Function to WeatherAPI.com to retrieve weather information.
• Coordinates are sent directly from the application to the U.S. National Weather Service at weather.gov to identify nearby public observation stations.
• Station information, distance, and report weather are stored with the project or report on your device.

Depending on the permission and device settings, coordinates may be approximate or precise. BuildMinute™ does not request background location permission, continuously track your location, or create a backend location history. Weather providers may receive technical request information, such as IP address and request time, in addition to coordinates.

Usage and allowance metrics

BuildMinute™ records limited product-usage information associated with your account: reports generated or sent, whether an event counts toward the free-report allowance, internal report and note identifiers, AI operation type, transcription duration, token totals, and event dates and times.

We use these records to enforce the free-report allowance, provide or revoke Beta Pro access, verify subscriptions, prevent duplicate counting and abuse, monitor costs and reliability, and understand general product usage. These records do not contain report text, transcript text, audio, photos, videos, GPS coordinates, or PDF content.

Subscriptions and payments

Android subscriptions purchased in the app are processed through Google Play. BuildMinute™ does not directly store your complete payment-card number. It may receive the provider, product or plan identifier, transaction or subscription identifier, status, renewal state, current subscription period, test or production environment, and verification information needed to manage access.

Payment methods, cancellations, and refunds are managed through the provider where the subscription was purchased and are subject to that provider’s terms.

Android app analytics and advertising measurement

The Android application uses Google Analytics for Firebase. The SDK may collect app interactions and events, app and device information, Firebase or app-instance identifiers, and the Android Advertising ID when available under your device settings. These device or other identifiers are used for analytics and advertising or marketing measurement.

BuildMinute™ uses this information to understand app usage, attribute installations and conversions to campaigns, and measure advertising performance. Firebase Analytics is linked to Google Ads for conversion attribution and ad-performance measurement, so measurement data may be shared with those Google services.

Advertising ID collection is enabled in the Android app; personalized advertising signals are disabled by default. Disabling personalized advertising signals does not disable analytics or conversion measurement. The app does not display third-party ads, and this measurement does not mean that BuildMinute™ sells construction content or uploads report text, photos, videos, or PDFs to analytics.

This mobile-app measurement is separate from the website analytics described below. See Your choices and rights for Android identifier controls and how Google uses information from apps and sites that use its services.

Website analytics

BuildMinute.com uses Google Analytics to understand website traffic and performance. Website analytics may process pages viewed, referral source, browser and device information, approximate location derived from an IP address, and website interactions.

BuildMinute™ does not intentionally send mobile-app reports, project photos, account passwords, or complete payment-card information to website analytics. This website analytics section does not mean the mobile application uploads local construction content to Google Analytics.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

• Create and secure accounts and authenticate users.
• Provide report-generation, optional dictation, optional weather, and account features.
• Maintain trial, Beta Pro, referral, and subscription access.
• Enforce usage limits and prevent duplicate counting, fraud, misuse, or unauthorized access.
• Provide customer support and maintain service reliability.
• Understand product usage and operating costs.
• Measure app engagement, campaign attribution, conversions, and advertising performance using Google Analytics for Firebase and linked Google Ads services.
• Comply with legal obligations and protect BuildMinute™, its users, and others.

5. When information is disclosed

We disclose information only as needed for the purposes described here, including to:

• Supabase, for authentication, account records, access control, usage metrics, and backend functions.
• OpenAI, for optional audio transcription and text cleanup.
• WeatherAPI.com, for optional weather observations.
• The U.S. National Weather Service/weather.gov, for optional station lookup.
• Google, for enabled sign-in, Google Play services and subscriptions, website analytics, and Android app analytics through Firebase, including linked Google Ads conversion attribution and ad-performance measurement.
• Other enabled payment, email, support, and infrastructure providers needed to operate and secure the service.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, investigate fraud, protect rights or safety, or complete a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of relevant assets subject to appropriate safeguards.

6. Data sales and advertising

BuildMinute™ does not sell personal information. It does not share construction content for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising. The mobile application does not contain third-party advertising.

BuildMinute™ does share the mobile measurement events and identifiers described above with Google for analytics, campaign attribution, conversion tracking, and ad-performance measurement. This is distinct from selling construction content or displaying ads inside the app. Personalized advertising is not enabled by default.

7. Local storage and device controls

Most construction content is stored in application-local storage, your camera roll, or another device location you select. Local content is protected by the security controls provided by your operating system and device. BuildMinute™ does not claim that every locally stored report, photo, PDF, or application record is separately encrypted by BuildMinute™.

The Android application opts its private account session, project, report, draft, voice-note, and processing-queue data out of Android cloud backup and Android device-to-device transfer. Files you save outside the application, including camera-roll media and exported PDFs, are controlled by Android and any backup or cloud-photo settings you enable.

You are responsible for securing your device, protecting exported or shared files, controlling device and cloud-photo synchronization settings, and removing local files when no longer needed. Deleting the application may remove application-local data but may not remove media or files previously saved outside its private storage.

8. Security

BuildMinute™ uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including HTTPS for online transmissions, Supabase authentication and server-side access controls, server-side entitlement and allowance checks, restricted database permissions, and separation between local construction content and backend account records.

No application, device, network, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Contact support promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

9. Retention and deletion

• Local construction content remains on your device until you delete it, clear application data, remove the application, or the operating system removes it. Files saved outside private application storage may remain after the application is removed.
• Account, entitlement, referral, subscription, and usage records are retained while needed to provide the service, maintain accurate allowances, support the account, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
• AI audio and text are not intentionally stored in BuildMinute™ database tables. Supabase and OpenAI may retain operational or security records under their applicable configurations and terms.
• Weather requests are not intentionally stored as a BuildMinute™ backend location history. Supabase, WeatherAPI.com, weather.gov, and network providers may retain operational logs under their policies.
• Website and mobile analytics and advertising-measurement records are handled under the applicable Google service retention settings and policies. Resetting or deleting an Advertising ID does not itself delete previously collected measurement records. Contact us about eligible access or deletion requests; deleting a BuildMinute™ account does not automatically erase all Google measurement records.
• Support, security, backup, and legally required records may remain for a limited period where reasonably necessary for support, security, fraud prevention, backup integrity, accounting, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

Account deletion

Signed-in Android users can permanently delete their account in the BuildMinute™ app by opening Account and selecting Delete Account. If they cannot sign in or do not have the app, they may use the signed-in My Account page to prepare a deletion request or email support@buildminute.com from the account email address. Complete instructions are available on the account deletion page.

The in-app deletion flow deletes authentication, profile, entitlement, usage, referral links, eligible subscription metadata, app-managed projects, reports, drafts, voice notes, and queued media associated with that account. Limited non-identifying deletion receipts and records required for security, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, or legal obligations may be retained. BuildMinute™ does not store Daily Reports in the BuildMinute™ cloud. Users should export any reports they need before deletion. Account deletion does not automatically remove files already saved outside the app or cancel a subscription billed through an external provider.

10. Your choices and rights

You may:

• Type notes instead of using AI dictation.
• Keep weather reporting turned off.
• Deny or revoke camera, microphone, media, or location permissions in device settings.
• Review and edit generated report text before sending it.
• Delete local projects, drafts, media, and files using available application or device controls.
• Manage or cancel a subscription through the original billing provider.
• Use Android’s advertising settings to reset or delete your Advertising ID where supported. The exact settings vary by Android version and device; see Google’s Advertising ID guidance.
• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of eligible account information.

Advertising ID controls limit availability of that identifier; they do not necessarily stop all analytics, remove Firebase/app-instance identifiers, or delete historical data. BuildMinute™ does not currently provide an in-app analytics opt-out switch. For privacy questions or requests concerning measurement data, contact support@buildminute.com.

Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability rights. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

11. Children’s privacy

BuildMinute™ is designed for construction professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If we learn that such information was provided without valid authorization, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

12. Processing locations

BuildMinute™ and its providers may process information in the United States and other locations where they operate. Privacy laws may differ between those locations. Where required, appropriate safeguards will be used for international transfers.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as BuildMinute™ changes or legal requirements develop. The updated policy will be posted at this URL with a revised “Last updated” date. Additional notice will be provided when appropriate or required for a material change.
